What to expect at the Halstow Halloween Disco

Friday 23rd October 2026

From 6 pm to 9 pm

Halstow Primary School

We want everyone to have a brilliant, fun, and comfortable time at our disco. Coming to an event when things look different from normal school can feel a little bit tricky, so here is a guide to show you exactly what to expect.

Fancy Dress

If you like dressing up, you can wear a Halloween costume, but you don't have to - you can come in your normal clothes if that makes you feel comfortable!

School Will Look a Little Bit Different

Because it's party time, the school won't look quite like it does during a normal school day. There will be colourful decorations, party lighting, music, and lots of people in exciting costumes. It might be a bit noisier and busier than usual, but remember: it is still your school, and you are completely safe.

Where to Find Pizza, the Tuck Shop and Tattoos

Head to the Ground Floor Hall when you are hungry or want to get decorated

  • Pizza: If you like pizza, this is where you can buy pizza.

  • Tuck Shop: If you want to, this is where you can buy candy floss, soft drinks, crisps and sweets

  • Tattoos: You can also get temporary glitter or Halloween tattoos applied here (Note: Our volunteers will always check before applying anything to sensitive skin).

Where the Disco Music & Dancing Happens

Up in the First Floor Hall, you’ll find the main disco. This is where the DJ will be playing music, and you can dance with your friends under the party lights.

Where to Go If You Need a Break

If the music gets a bit too loud or you feel overwhelmed, you can take a break at any time. Our official Chill-Out Area is in the hallway right outside the kids' toilets on the ground floor. It is a quiet spot where you can sit down, take a deep breath and have a moment of calm before heading back to the fun.

Friendly Faces Here to Help

Look out for our Friends of Halstow helpers! We will be wearing bright volunteer lanyards and will be dressed as Crayons. If you ever feel lost, confused, or just need a friendly chat, come and say hello to one of us. We are here to make sure you have the best time.
