About Friends of Halstow

Who we are
Friends of Halstow is a registered charity which supports Halstow Primary School. All parents and carers of current pupils are automatically members of Friends of Halstow.

What do we do
Friends of Halstow works in partnership with the school leadership team, to raise funds to support the school.  We don't need to tell you that costs have been rising recently and school budgets are stretched to the limits. The funds we raise are spent on items and experiences that fall outside of the school's budget capabilities.

Why we do it
We want all children at Halstow to love being at school. We believe they should have every opportunity possible to learn and grow in an environment that's the best it can be.

How we do it
Friends of Halstow hosts fundraising events and initiatives throughout the school year, the proceeds of which are reinvested back into Halstow Primary School. All our events and initiatives are made possible by parent volunteers who give their time and expertise to help.

We rely entirely on parents and carers to run all our Friends of Halstow events. Can you set up? Tear down? Run a stall or a bar? Then we need you! If you can spare an hour or two, sign up for a volunteer slot and help make them happen.
